Do you have a Dirty Vacuum Filter?

I was so confused why the vacuum wasn’t working. The filter was clean. The container empty. The hose was clear as far as I could tell.
As I pulled the container from the vacuum I saw another filter. I’m like, ah, let’s check this one. As I pulled it out I was shocked at what was on it. it was covered.
Debris fell from it and instantly I realized what was wrong with the vacuum – why it wasn’t functioning as it was supposed to.

It was full of junk.

As a runner I’ve learned how you take care of your body plays a huge role in how race day goes, and how well we can enjoy the training. Yes a lot has to do with our thoughts – running is 80% mental for the average runner.
I’ve just recently realized I no longer have the body of a young 20 year old. I have to pay extra attention on how much “junk” is in my body, not allowing it to function properly.

I have recently dived into a new book that causes me to get emotional with every page. “Why Revival Tarries? by Leonard Ravenhill.” It is terribly convicting and stirs my soul to seek God on behalf of my nation. I have brought ice cream (one of my faves) to enjoy while I read and I cease from eating it because my mouth is too busy dropping at what I’m reading.

I have been to many, many churches. I’ve seen churches go to the world. I’ve seen churches crumble. I’ve seen churches split. I’ve seen churches be bitter. Dead. Lost. Deceiving. You name it.
This book has really been striking my nerves.
To be honest, it has made me a little upset.
I have gritted my teeth and felt my heart beating harder.

I am not finished with the book as I can only read so much without it forcing me to my knees.
It breaks my heart to realize what the problem is…

The “church” is full of junk.
