Friday, May 1st is yet another great 5k-a-day-May-challenge! I am so excited to get back on a more regular running schedule. Last year I ran most of the month, with a few days of walking. This year, if the Lord wills, I will be running everyday of the month! I can’t wait to see what God has in store.

But anyhow, Day One is complete! I did 3.2 miles under a cloudy sky. But what beauty I saw when God pointed out a section of scripture which talked about our worth in God’s eyes. We are of more value than many sparrows, more beautiful than the flowers in the field and have more purpose than the grass of the land.

How often do I repeat lies to myself that God cares for others better than me?! As children of God, we have so many blessings and promises in Christ Jesus and I have learned that all we have to do is abide in Him as a branch abides in the vine! How simple yet so highly underestimated!
Will you join me this month in challenging youself to meditate on scripture? You won’t believe the joy and peace it brings until you try it!
Blessings to y’all and Happy Running!
Matthew 6:25-30 KJV
Therefore I say unto you, Take no thought for your life, what ye shall eat, or what ye shall drink; nor yet for your body, what ye shall put on. Is not the life more than meat, and the body than raiment?
[26] Behold the fowls of the air: for they sow not, neither do they reap, nor gather into barns; yet your heavenly Father feedeth them. Are ye not much better than they?
[27] Which of you by taking thought can add one cubit unto his stature?
[28] And why take ye thought for raiment? Consider the lilies of the field, how they grow; they toil not, neither do they spin:
[29] And yet I say unto you, That even Solomon in all his glory was not arrayed like one of these.
[30] Wherefore, if God so clothe the grass of the field, which to day is, and to morrow is cast into the oven, shall he not much more clothe you, O ye of little faith?
