Your Key to Success: Going Back to the Basics Part Eight
For in death there is no remembrance of thee: In the grave who shall give thee thanks?
Psalm 6:5
Lately I have had great difficulties with my running.
I can’t handle the stress of it on top of what is going on in my life.
Instead I have been trying to focus on walking as much as possible.
During this transition, God has been teaching me to be patient and to trust Him. So…
Now I am taking advantage of the circumstances and training for a 24 mile walk around town, which is something I’ve wanted to do for years. Up to 3 miles today and my right calf and PF are threatening to cause problems. Oh, the joy of training.
I am having to prioritize breathing properly, lest life become more difficult than necessary. Below I share a quick overview of what I mean by this and then go deeper on the podcast so don’t forget to check that out too!
Have a great week and Happy Running!
Tips on How to Breathe Properly both Physically and Spiritually
Focus on your breathing.
- Spiritually speaking this is giving thanks
- Physically speaking this is making sure to take full breaths rather than short and labored
Stop thinking about the circumstances
- Seek God’s face over his hands
- Focus on the mile you are in
Remind yourself of Romans 8:28
- All things work together for good
- Everything can be used to make you a stronger runner
