How to Strengthen Your Foundation
Your Key to Success: Nailing Down the Basics Part Nine
Storms will Come and Go, but what will your Condition be on the Other Side?

He is like a man which built an house, and digged deep, and laid the foundation on a rock: and when the flood arose, the stream beat vehemently upon that house, and could not shake it: for it was founded upon a rock.
Luke 6:48
I love how Jesus uses the analogy of a man building on two foundations.
One is a rock foundation.
One is sand.
Imagine a storm with torrential downpour going over these two homes, which do you think is going to stand the longest and survive with minimal damage if any?
We can look at a runners life from this perspective.
Lets go with two runners.
One has been running for years.
Another has been running for eight months.
They both enter to run a half-marathon (13.1 miles).
Imagine come race day the temperature is in the 80’s, it’s predicted to rain at the start line, and end up humid and muddy by the end causing the temperature to feel like it’s in the 90’s and the footing to be slippery.
Which runner is most likely to stick with the race and know how to handle the circumstances without having a heat-stroke or falling and twisting their ankle?
I’ll go over these five tips in more detail on the podcast, but here are some things you can do to build a stronger foundation so that when storms come in your life you will be able to withstand the weather, and come out stronger on the other side.
