The Desires of the Righteous are only good
God’s primary goal in a Christians life is to work everything out for our good to conform us into the image of Christ.
And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to His purpose. For whom He did foreknow, He also did predestinate to be conformed to the image of His Son, that He might be the firstborn among many brethren. – Romans 8:28-29
But He also created us with a purpose.
For we are His workmanship, created in Christ Jesus unto good works, which God hath before ordained that we should walk in them. – Ephesians 2:10
Therefore, in God’s sovereign, loving-kindness, He uses the journey to create us more into the image of His Son, while also fulfilling His purposes in us, while also creating a loving intimate relationship with us. He delights in the prayers of His servants. The desires of the righteous are only good. Therefore His avenue is to work through our desires.
Take the time to meditate on Ecclesiastes 3:10-14.
…He hath made everything beautiful in His time…I know that there is no good in them, but for a man to rejoice, and to do good in his life. And also that every man should eat and drink and enjoy the good of all his labour, it is the gift of God. I know that, whatsoever God doeth, it shall be for ever… – Ecc. 3:10-14
Think about it.
Pray about it.
This was written by the wisest man that ever lived.
Focus primarily on verses 12 & 13.
